Why there is no Spin Palace Casino promo code in Ontario
There are two reasons, and either would be enough. The first is the brand. Ontario has run its own regulated online market since 4 April 2022: operators register with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) and sign an agreement with iGaming Ontario (iGO). A site that is not in the iGO directory is not part of that market.

It serves the rest of Canada under Baytree (Alderney) Limited, which holds licence 155 C1 from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission, plus a Kahnawà:ke permit held by Baytree Interactive Limited. Ontario bonus rules explained: AGCO Standard 2.05
The rule everyone quotes lives in the AGCO's Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming, which came into force on 4 April 2022 together with the market. Standard 2.05 reads: "Advertising and marketing materials that communicate gambling inducements, bonuses and credits are prohibited, except on an operator's gaming site and through direct advertising and marketing, after receiving active player consent."
The guidance underneath says the standard does not ban bonuses. It bans all public advertising of them, including targeted and algorithm-based ads.
Standard 2.05
No bonus, credit or inducement in public advertising. Offers stay on the operator's own site or app.
Standard 2.06
Shown offers must disclose material terms up front and cannot be called "free" or "risk-free" if your own money is at stake.
Standard 2.07
Direct bonus marketing needs an active opt-in, and you must be able to withdraw that consent at any time.
And promo codes? The AGCO's March 2022 guidance for the new market (updated 8 April 2022) lists "the display of promotional codes" as indirect inducement advertising, on any channel, including affiliate links and search engine results. That is the short version of why no promo codes in Ontario survive on a compliant site.
The regulator enforces it. On 26 March 2025 the AGCO announced a C$110,000 penalty against BetMGM Canada after marketing companies working for it offered cash to members of the public for opening new accounts, citing Standards 1.19 and 2.05.
Bonus marketing before and after 4 April 2022
Before the regulated market, Ontarians played on offshore sites or OLG.ca, and no Ontario rule governed how offshore bonuses were marketed. Here is what changed for registered sites.

Alberta: what the new market may change
Alberta opened its own regulated online market on 13 July 2026. Operators register with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) and sign an agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation. The age limit there is 18+.
According to Canadian trade press, the AGLC's June 2026 update to its iGaming standards follows the Ontario model: bonuses and credits can be advertised on the operator's own site or app and through opted-in direct marketing, not in public ads. If Spin Palace or a sister brand joins Alberta's registered market, expect no public codes there either.
